Pool Sessions:     The Kansas Whitewater Association and the Olathe Family YMCA will be hosting pool sessions starting Wednesday, October 11th.  Sessions will run every other Wednesday night from 8 to 9:30 PM through late spring.  Pool sessions are a great place to learn new skills, keep old skills sharp in the off-season, and get to know fellow boaters.

Where to Park? Please park in the rear of the YMCA and use the back doors rather then walk thru the YMCA workout area.

Cost: Cost is $8.50 per session, at the YMCA front desk at the beginning of every pool session.  Rental gear is available for an additional $10.00 per session (for non club members)- see the Gear section below.

What if I've never kayaked?  If you are a first-time visitor or want an introduction to kayaking, please email us at james@kansaswhitewater.org at least 24 hours prior to the pool session you would like to attend.  Also, see the Gear section below if you need to rent gear.

What do you need?  A swimsuit, a desire to have fun, waiver form (available at the session), and advanced reservations if you need to rent gear.

What Gear do we offer?  If you are new to kayaking or do not have gear, the KWA can supply a boat, lifejacket, paddle, spray skirt and helmet for a fee of $10.00 per session.  Email james@kansaswhitewater.org to reserve gear.

Where is it? The Olathe YMCA is located at 21400 West 153rd, Olathe, KS 66061. View Map

Waiver Form: You can download the pool session brochure and waiver here.

Participants assume their own risk. The KWA are not certified instructors
