The Missouri Whitewater Association will hold its annual spring two-day clinic for kayak, open and decked canoes for people already possessing basic river paddling skills on April 12-13. The clinic is designed to introduce basic whitewater techniques on Class II-III whitewater. This is an ACA-sanctioned event.

Basic whitewater paddling strokes will be presented as maneuvers: ferries, eddy turns, peel-outs, water reading, safety and equipment outfitting. Boat control and safe, fun negotiation of whitewater rivers will be stressed.
Students are grouped according to ability and what they seek to learn. Two instructors and at least one safety person are assigned to each paddling group.
