David,
I edited your post to reflect the changes we discussed and also to avoid any confusion. Also, here is a link for maps, directions, and other information regarding Tuttle Creek Lake. Hope to see you all there.

Pardon my ignorance in protocol
I take it that we may join up at any part of this adventure. I am not certain of a three day commitment if any, but would like to take part if possible in at least some of this if I can.
Yes, exactly. All KCKA members are certainly welcome to plug into anything at anytime.
Specific questionss should probably be sent to the organizer, David Cobb.
C'ya soon,
TJ

No word yet on the water release request. We do have the support of the Tuttle Lake Manager and that, as Shawn Tolivar well knows, is a HUGE plus.
We are still 16 days off. We all have our fingers crossed. There are alternatives that involve other rivers in the area with flat pools and a few eddies. Mick & I are the local experts at finding ways to teach moving water events in KS.

Hi all,
I just wanted to say thanks for coming out and joining all the fun, whitewater at Rocky Ford, fabulous BBQ, the campfires, and moonlight floats on Tuttle Creek Lake. We had about 40-50 paddlers over the weekend. Got to meet a few new faces too.
This year's KCKA Fall Rendezvous was a great success. We had lots of fun playing a Rocky Ford. Shawn, I was glad that you & Nicoya finally got up to see Rocky Ford.
Friday's 2800cfs and Saturday-Sunday's 900cfs were two fun levels. The 360 degree whitewater attainment course set up by Tim was huge fun. No matter what skill level you think you are, it was a challenge to get around the course. I was especially proud to accompany Janica White around the course. She really excelled. Attainment is a skill that few paddlers have and use. The Rocky Ford attainment course was one of the best I've ever seen in the Midwest.
A good time was had by all.
